What exactly is a groin pull (NSFW)?
I hear it on sports news, and I don’t know what it is?

Pulled muscle in the groin?
A groin pull is when one of the muscles of the inner thigh (usually the adductor muscle) gets stretched, injured, or torn. Usually happens when the leg is pulled to the side or at an extreme angle to the body.
It can hapen when moving to avoid a tackle or collision. Sometimes occurs when one’s foot is plant while wearing cleats and the body moves in an odd direction and the foot stays planted.
You’ve never had a pulled muscle @RedDeerGuy1? I used to get them a lot when I was actively athletic. You over extend a muscle and it hurts for days.
@Dutchess_III Oh yes. I massaged them out. I also punched it and worked.
I don’t know how a groin can get pulled? Pulled enough to bench a player for multiple games?
I never got them playing sports. I however had it happen quite a bit when I was with an old girlfriend.
Check it out on a medical website like mayo or webmd if you need more details than given above.
It can be a sports injury – or that special thing your partner asks for when they feel playful.
There usually some rehab involved either way.
I pulled a groin muscle once. Put Heet on it for a day or two and was fine. But yeah, it’s painful. The thigh muscle attached to the pelvic bone gets stretched. If you do an exercise called a side lunge you will understand.
