If I invite dead writers they’ll probably still drink, but won’t pay the bar tab.

The live ones will just bitch about their royalties, and then ask me to drive them to the airport.

I’d rather sleep with another bass player.

I would not invite dead writers to lunch, as it could be an appetite killer.

Kathy Reichs
Jean Auel
Thomas Moran

Truman Capote, Gore Vidal, and Gertrude Stein :D

I want the tea, and I think these three would’ve had it about a range of other writers and intellectuals across a wide span of time. Susan Sontag is also up there on my list.
