Well, I bet some of them use it to pay off their credit cards.

If I had a handsome helping of prize money, I probably wouldn’t tell anyone what I spent it on. But I know I would give some away.

Beer and Hot Dogs.

Hookers and cocaine.

Probably charity or something.

I actually know a Nobel Prize winner: Joe Taylor – Nobel Prize in Physics, 1993.
He used the money to take a sabbatical and among other things he wrote an absolutely brilliant program for fellow amateur radio enthusiasts. He named it WSJT for Weak Signal Joe Taylor. It is a way to extract extremely weak signals from noise that is much greater than your desired signal. We used it to communicate with others by bouncing signals off the moon. EME, Earth Moon Earth communication.

And he gave us the software for free! Can that be considered charity? :-)
