It would probably just offend people.

People get offended with a topless Barbie with NO nipples. I can only imagine the uproar IF she did have a nip slip!!!

I always felt sad for Ken.

Should Pooh have a penis? Should Paddington?
And shouldn’t Barbie have an oncologist? My god, the size of her lymph nodes when she raises her arms would indicate so!

What a silly question.

I think a better place to start would be getting her proportions more anatomically accurate. I remember reading that if Barbie were real, she wouldn’t be able to stand upright and have severe osteoarthritis or something like that. If they wanted to put nipples on Barbie, it really wouldn’t bother me. This may shock some people, but everyone has nipples, everyone poops, it’s really no big deal…

No. I don’t think it matters at all really, but I personally would not want a Ken doll with a penis, so I’m fine with Barbie not having nipples or pubic hair.

I’m totally fine with statues and paintings of nudes, but dolls, I’m going to say give it a rest. Dolls are for imagination and children are not really thinking about parts of the body, are they? Playing with dolls hopefully isn’t about sex at 5 years old, it’s more platonic story telling. Not that our anatomically correct bodies have to be about sex, but anyway, I’m just fine with making Barbie more about her clothes and hairstyles than her naked body.

What are you going to do, give her nipples and then she needs a bra to cover her nipples. Another garment to sell. Or, I guess the nipples could just be drawn on. Is that satisfactory for the Q, or the OP is asking about a bump there?

If I were an anatomically correct Ken doll…

It would be rated x!

^^ I was 11 when Ken was introduced to the world. Now days, Mothers are buying 3 y/o’s Ken dolls. Ken was X-rated enough for an 11 y/o…can’t imagine what a 3 y/o would think!!! Maybe that’s WHY they didn’t use you, @WhyNow, for their model!!!

I just sent my girlfriend who grew up on a chicken farm like me a Barbie chicken farmer for her birthday. Barbie has come a long way!
