Either a vacation or you are moving there.
What do you want to know from the video? What do you want to see?
Would you rather short videos with a separate topic for each video? Or, longer videos that cover a lot of information?

Generally not for this kind of thing. I would expect the videos to be inauthentic with paid promotion over what I’m actually going to enjoy there.
We’ve watched some YT videos of a country/city before traveling there. Mainly, they pertain to food.
We also use Trip Advisor as well as a few other travel sites when planning the vacation.
I almost never remember YouTube. I usually will research on TripAdvisor and just googling and seeing what comes up. If there are FB groups on the topic/location, I may join them if I see they’re active.
Not generally, but if I’m moving I look at videos of my new destination.
Yeah, it’s helpful to know about the place you’re about to visit.
I would be interested in how to get there, how things works around there etc.. so these would be the topic to watch videos on.
The only things I watch YT for: instructional; baby animals; cute animals
For moving or taking a vacation I would watch travel or Chamber of Commerce videos
