Is the National Weather Service voice a real person?

Maybe, but it is delivered via prerecorded words then probably put together with VR. It’s a horrible sound. I get phone alerts about the weather but the voice sounds human.

The Weather Channel does the same thing – they had one of their people pre-record thousands of phrases, and then when they do the “forecast on the 8s” the artificial voice does all sort of reassembly of the wwords into actual sentences.
