Have you heard the twins giving reactions to songs?

Asked by smudges (11161points) July 19th, 2022

ohmigosh! I found a post from @JLeslie on July 23, 2020 regarding two young men who listen to songs they’ve never heard before and give their reactions. Their followers send in the song ideas.

I just watched them listen to Janis Joplin and their reactions were awesome. Anyway, check it out! I’m addicted now. Thanks, @JLeslie!

I used to watch them during the pandemic and I kind of follow what’s going on with their lives. I haven’t watched them in a few months. They’re funny!

I could see me partying with these dudes if I was 50 years younger, or if I met them 50 years ago. :)

If it was 55 years ago, I’m guessing they would have enjoyed being introduced to “Are You Experienced”. ;-D

For those who say they’re rehearsed, I don’t think they’re rehearsed. I would say they are not being truthful when they say they haven’t ever heard many of the songs, but they say that they were brought up by their grandparents who are very religious and didn’t play that type of music in the house, which is believable. Their reactions to each song can be similar (head bopping and stuff) but that may just be their nature.

I still think they’re funny and cute and worth a look. That and Alton Brown’s QQ videos are the two things I watch, along with Karens in the Wild.

Who are “the” twins?

@Zaku: Twinsthenewtrend on YouTube. Here’s one of their early videos from when they first got popular two years ago, their reaction to Phil Collins “Something in the air tonight.” You can see their channel and their current vids here.

I love the Jolene video. https://youtu.be/_pEPFYiJOXU One of my favorite Dolly Parton songs.

Also, Rick Astley. https://youtu.be/P5YwYdBaxgk So funny when he says his voice doesn’t match his face. That’s what they used to say about Elvis.

I probably listed those on the original Q, I don’t remember.

Part of the great thing about the videos is if you are over 50 years old you hear a lot of the music (from your younger days) that you haven’t heard in a while.

@all I watched ABtheKreator listening to “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling” by The Righteous Brothers. You can just imagine what he was expecting! Good reaction, but he kept stopping the music to talk.

I loved watching the twin’s reaction to the drums when they came in on Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight”! Gives me goosebumps!
