Do you think Biden's Covid diagnosis will allow him to bow out gracefully from running in 2024?

It’s no secret that most Dems are not happy with Biden but he has said previously that he planned to run again in 2024.
Surveys show that most people feel he is too old, also.
Do you think that his new Covid diagnosis will change that? Will this allow him to bow out gracefully or for his advisors to pressure him that it’s done with and time for him to let re-election thoughts go?

I don’t think he should run again but I can’t imagine why a Covid diagnosis now would mean that he can’t run in two years if he decides to. Trump had it too while President.
No because he could recover by then.
No. I don’t think it’s a good idea to use covid as an excuse. Will it send a message that since covid he has not been at 100%? That will just cause more scrutiny of his actions.
I don’t think Biden needs an excuse. When he ran he said he wasn’t committing to two terms. He’s old, it’s ok, everyone will understand him choosing to retire.
If he backs the Democratic candidate it will be sufficient. The question is who will it be? That’s the Q I was thinking of creating. Who instead of Biden?
It would be nice if Biden would step aside, though I’m not sure who the nominee would be (Gavin Newsom?). If DeSantis ends up being the Republican nominee, he will trounce Biden.
@JLeslie
Kamila Harris for sure will step in.
^^I don’t think she wins either.
