Do you have other sources about women having been considered non persons until not too long ago?

Prior to 1974, wome coul dnot get credit on their own.

I don’t know about being “non-persons”, but there was a very long, uphill struggle to keep them as second-class citizens with minimal rights. Those battles have been going on for a long, long time. In the US you could look at the women’s rights movements from about 1848–1917 to get a good look at that.
