Do professional athletes have fun playing or do they take sports seriously and not have fun?
Sounds like a personal hell?
What do you think?

I am sure they are miserable, which would explain why they beat their wives.
It’s possible to take sports and other activities seriously and have fun too. I think many/most pro athletes enjoy what they do and/or have fun with it, while also taking it seriously, and they also enjoy having fun while not doing pro sports.
That is, they’re people, so they’re different. There are also some who are overly serious and/or miserable, and have no fun.
It’s just not a natural either/or dilemma.
Both.
Life is not binary, it is possible for most thing in life to be “Yes, and…”
They must have fun or it wouldn’t be worth doing due to no interest.
I suppose with anything that starts out as fun then turns into “work” can make it a burdon.
It is not as simple as that.
One can take their sport serious AND have fun.
One can take their sport serious and be miserable.
One can have fun in their sport and not take it serious.
One can be miserable in their sport and have fun.
The ones I’ve known do and did both. And I’ve known quite a few.
They love it, main reason why retirement hurts, especially in team sports.
