What colour should I try to mix with yellow and why?

Asked by freguarUK (362points) August 18th, 2022

More than 10 years ago, I drew regularly. It turned out very well to draw on wood and specific canvases. The most favourite colour was yellow and most often I mixed yellow with green in shades. But now this combination causes me strong feelings. The feeling of thirst for the desired, rage, irreconcilable mistaken thoughtless acquisitiveness. What choice is worth paying attention to if my creativity is my advisor?
The plot of the following canvas:
The Elder glows with green radiation and causes the apocalypse. Purple rays burst from the desert ground, and lightning flashes from the black sky. A young dark-skinned guy rides an elephant from an oasis to insane old man. But what he learns from the elder remains unknown.

@Dutchess_III yellow and blue make green. I think you should try red or green.

Green is not a primary color @KRD.

I stand corrected on my color combo tho.

Does it have to be a primary color @Dutchess_III?

If it’s only primary then all the answers are just a choice of two, red or blue, unless you want to also include white and black.

The 3 primary colors create every color you can imagine. If you add green you’re adding some combination of blue and yellow.

^^^^ Except sometimes you need a primary color and add white. Red and White make pink.

Dutchess_III's avatar

^^^^Yes. But neither black nor white is considered a primary color.

^^^^ So you cannot with “3 primary colors create every color you can imagine.”

White and black change the hue of a color.
