Suppose it turns out that Jared Kushner (Ivanka Trump's husband) is the unnamed secret source that led the Justice Department to the Mar-a-lago raid?

Interesting thought but I think the initials for the person of interest is Melania Trump !

Kushner is HARD RIGHT WING.

My vote goes to Melania; however, I wouldn’t be shocked to learn that it was Ivanka!!! I don’t think Jared is invited to M-a-L any longer. He didn’t take too kindly to being shunned by his friends once he left the WH!!!

Interesting. I don’t think Melania has the guts to do so. Nor the money. I assume that Donald made her sign a pre-nuptial agreement that would leave with nothing. And I don’t think she has any identity without him. But we’ll see.

Jared strikes me as an ultra-bastard, of a very self-interested kind. No motivation for him comes to my mind.

But Trump is d u m b and has staff, and visitors, and various intelligence services have intelligence, training, and means of finding things out. My guess would be it wasn’t just a civic-minded individual.

But yes it will be amusing/interesting to see what happens when Trump falls, and when Jared falls (he’s a tool, and not a string-puller, so I expect he’ll get sacrificed and/or nabbed too at some point).

What would any of them have to gain by selling trump out?

Melania shows no interest in the world outside her wardrobe, makeup, Barron, and keeping her position of luxury. I can’t see her being aware of the contents of boxes of documents in the closets of Mar a Lago.

I think the whistleblower could be any rando employee of the club. Like a bus boy or coat checker who had to shove crates of top secret documents out of their way to do their job.

Trump’s disregard for security there is well known.

Makes no sense to me that anyone in the family would have snitched on Trump.

I especially don’t think Melania would do it. Everyone likes to think she is some sort of prisoner in the marriage.

Why would Jared do it? Trump gave Jared a position in the government while he was president.

Why would Jared do it? I don’t think he’s the one; but, to address the WHY…he’s a cold-hearted businessman like his F-I-L who only wants exactly what he wants!!! IF the government made him a good offer, he’d flip in a skinny minute. He might be a target of a DOJ investigation. He wasn’t impressed with his position at the WH because he didn’t get it because he was good for the job, but because it made 45’s daughter happy!!! He liked having the job because he could meet people who could be advantageous for his own private business!!!

During the hearings, Ivanka did her version of throwing daddy under the bus. So, I can see her doing it again. Public opinion matters to everyone in that household with the exception of maybe Barron. Any one of the rest care how they will be perceived in history!!! They know daddy’s time is limited & history will last forever!!!

WHAT IF 45 is playing the Republican party??? He used to brag that he was a Dem at heart & this is his way of splintering the Rep party thereby destroying them. He was losing relevance, so he squealed on himself just so he could be back in the news & rally his base at least one more time.

I agree that Melania loves her position as being “The Donald’s Wife”, so that leads me to doubt that it’s her; however, I would find it hilarious IF she proved to be that smart!!! Even with a prenup, I think she could take it to court & win half of his pretend net worth.

Trump wanting to splinter the Republican Party to help Democrats also doesn’t sound plausible to me either. He said it years ago the way to win is run as a Republican because they have a better machine to win, and people will believe anything.

Trump’s splintering the Republican Party is dangerous and even deadly for the country and his own daughter and grandchildren using his tactics. His daughter and her children are Jewish. Ever see a White Supremacists in an interview talking about Trump? It’s not unusual for them to mention that they would prefer a leader who doesn’t have a Jewish daughter. Trump’s love of being Republican now has to do with power, money, and ego.

You’re point about Jared being willing to flip to save himself. Maybe. I still think it’s doubtful.

When did Ivanka throw her dad under the bus? Just by disagreeing with him sometimes? Maybe her dad told her to be honest. She isn’t saying anything that hasn’t been said by others already, she just another voice. Trump is a narcissist, but contrary to popular theory, I do think he loves his kids and cares about their welfare at least to some extent. I know some very self centered people, but they still would die for their children.

I’m very skeptical any family would snitch, likely an associate or employee.

Anyone in his family or his employees squealing is fine with trumpig. Trumpig knows how to make a show last many seasons. The only person not useful to trumpig is one who does not pay any attention to him or does not give him any money. Trumpig gets depressed when his name is not mentioned in the daily news. Trumpig will do crime to get attention and will pretend to be indignant if friend or family or staff betray him. Trumpig knows perfectly the part he is playing. Knows his lines. Knows the next plot turn. Trumpig does not give a hoot if people kill or die because of him. Trumpig knows he is loved by many even if he thinks they are fools for loving him. And money and votes will come. This helps him sleep at night.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Erick who let it slip by accident.

Why would you think Jared Kushner would be the one? Like Trump, he is only out for himself.

1) Kushner is the orthodox Jew. Except for his wife, everyone else isn’t. That makes Jared the outsider. Given what Don Jr. and Eric say in the media, they have been swallowed up by the anti-semitic right wing. So I could see Kushner doing this as a preemptive strike.

2) Kushner has money and the real estate business that he inherited from his father. I would imagine that he doesn’t want HIS name to be any more tainted (than it already is) with Trump illegalities. In particular, he doesn’t want to be connected with any Trumpian felonies.

3) I think Kushner knows that Donald’s star is falling. Kushner would like to be the Brutus who stabs Caesar (Trump) in the back and defeats the Emperor. (Except Brutus got slaughtered in the next act!)

^^ Could be but I don’t think it likely. The Kushner family is well known around my area unfortunately. Jared has developed half of a local beach town. His father was jalied for fraud; I don’t think they are ethical people. My guess is that Kushner and Co. will just quietly distance themselves from Daddy and keep on making money.

Maybe they had a competition about whom the Orangutan loves the least, and the winner was supposed to snitch to the cops.
But then it turned out it was a draw, because Don loved them all equally (read: not one iota), so they had to draw straws.

Ivanka’s kids go to Jewish private school unless that has changed. I realize you don’t have to be Jewish to attend a Jewish school, but as far as I can tell the children are being raised Jewish. In my opinion nothing makes someone more Jewish than raising their children Jewish. I think they keep kosher at home, unless that reporting is incorrect. They probably function more like Conservative Jews, but since the Kushner family is part of the orthodox community, they are just Orthodox who aren’t strictly observant.

Kushner probably feels Trump was very pro Israel, the orthodox tend to be obsessed with that. My bet is Trump has never been negative about Ivanka converting; at least publicly Trump has always been supportive. I’ve witnessed more confirmation bias and amnesia the last 7 years than I thought possible. He probably just blocks out the possibility that Trump is feeding the White Supremacists.
