Question for "Lord of the Rings" fans, does this ring look like the ring in the movies?

Obviously it’s not inscribed, but other than that? https://imgur.com/a/daFn47e

It does look like the Ring in the movies because of its thickness.

The one in the movie does not have that flat edge. It’s more rounded and tapered. The cross section of your photo looks like it would have a flatter outer curve than the One Ring.

It’s a pretty close approximation, though.

And remember, the inscription on the One Ring appears only when cast into the fire. Otherwise it looks like plain gold. So you could say it’s the one, and decline to throw it into a fire to prove it.

It’s a plain gold ring. That tracks.

The movie only gave us an interpretation of the ring’s look. The book only tells us the ring is plain, gold, can grow or shrink of its own volition, and has an uncanny resistance to wear.

Put it on a chain and people will be throwing you into a volcano in no time!
