What are some marketing tricks that work on you, or others?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24945points) September 14th, 2022

Yesterday I was looking through the Skip the Dishes menus and I saw Tim Hortons doughnuts shop. Then I refreshed the screen and it disappeared, then 30 minutes later it came back on. Then off again. I waited refreshing the screen and it came back, and I ordered $20 worth of cookies, muffins and doughnuts. As fast as I could before It went off again.

What is the technical term used in marketing? Also It is used to improve attendance by having muffins and coffee available randomly in the start of the shift.

Also tell your story of being manipulated into buying something. For anything from a cookie to a car or more?

I hate when you say “Last one” or “Going fast” I feel pressured to buy right NOW! Then later I see it somewhere else and most of the time even a better deal.

Commercials that use cute children and dogs are very effective. What gets to me is seeing popcorn, pizza, or someone drinking wine. Suddenly I want some.

The repetition technique works best for new products or new campaigns to raise brand awareness. It’s good to use repetition to get the word out at first, then it can be diminished to avoid boring your customer. Too much repetition can have a negative effect.
