What can I use lemon curd for?

Asked by Hawaii_Jake (37734points) October 1st, 2022

My friends moved to the mainland and gave me many condiments. Included were 2 small jars of homemade lemon curd. I don’t know what to use it for. What do I do with it?

You can use it anywhere you might use jam or marmalade for. Toast or better yet scones. If you’re making cookies, you can use it to sandwich two together or put it in mini-tart shells and bake it. Lemon curd is the bomb!

It has egg yolks in it so it is not vegan; if that makes a difference.

^Thanks. I’m plain old vegetarian.

Great on muffins, quick breads, pound cake. My favorite is on gingerbread.

I bought some at Trader Joe’s once and I never used it so I threw it away when it got old. I love lemon desserts. Here are some ideas from Allrecipes.com:

Make or purchase a baked pie shell. Put lemon curd on the bottom. Top with fresh fruit.
