How much to screen in a patio?

Asked by JLeslie (65790points) October 3rd, 2022

I want to screen in my covered patio, and eventually I will call some companies, but I’m wondering if the collective can help too. When I google, most of the information is stated in square feet, and I guess that is building an entire patio, but I just need screen for one side of an existing patio.

It’s approximately 23 feet across, 9 to 10 feet high, and a slab floor. It would need a screened door so I can get out to the back yard. I would like large panels, around 5 feet across, I noticed in northern states sometimes they are only 3 to 4 feet in width.

I know it varies by location what people charge, but I wanted to see what the collective thinks it should cost.

Are you keeping the Villages place and building in NC?

^^Yes. The build is a cookie cutter house, 2300 sq. ft., just picking some colors for the interior.

Glad you’re staying in the Villages too since I know you enjoy it so much there.

This will vary wildly depending on the final plan.
One of the biggest things of consideration and cost is how it will be integrated with the current roof line.
I also didn’t pick up on the complete size. I read 23 x ?? and 10 feet high.
I would swag it from $2000—$5000 but I don’t know all the dimensions.
