Whenever someone suggests I actually have a “profession” it’s like a little affirmation.

So thank you.

Now send cash. Please.

Or the Stanley Cup.

It could be worth something.

I don’t think there is one.

But thinking of other ‘professions’ -

- what award does a serial killer get to show that he/she has excelled at his profession?

- does the highwaay department give out a ‘yellow straight line painter’ citation?

Working with emotionally challenged teens, for me the GREATEST reward is when I finally hit that perfect combination that resonates with them & I see the light go on in their eyes & a smile growing across their face!!! There was one child who hugged my neck along with the smile & he told me he loved me for making him feel happy once again. There is NO award nor amount of money that could replace the pride that I felt that day!!!
