Have you ever struck a weird deal with someone (NSFW)?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24944points) October 31st, 2022

In 2007 I did with a friend who I am no longer in contact with.

She was being accused in being not feminine and drinking too much alcohol.

She said that she didn’t care and was proud to be masculine.

So I said would it bother her if one of the local groups of male friends dresses feminine.

She said that it “doesn’t matter”,and she’s ok with it.

So I said that “it is a deal then”?

She agreed.

So I said ok if we ever get married then I will wear a wedding gown and you ware the tuxedo.

She stopped for a moment; Then she asked me if I was proposing to her?

I said no you have to propose to me seeing that It is the masculine thing to decide.

I gave my word, and gratefully she never proposed to me.

Share any times you gave your word in which you would have to do something silly to keep your word?

I can’t think of anything!!!

I gave my word, and gratefully she never proposed to me.

IF she ever changes her mind & proposes to you just remember that a woman always has the prerogative to change her mind; so, you would be within your rights as the bride to say “I’ve changed as a person since we discussed marriage & I am NO longer interested & therefore I must say NO thank you!!!”

This happens daily. I recall one quite awhile ago with an ex.
She is an ex now.

I struck a deal with my brother and sister over 50 years ago that we would each give sixpence to whoever kept their diary going the longest. I won.

Yes, and it worked out very well for me even though the other party failed to carry out his part of the issue when the affair came to an end.

Yes I have.

Because they said it was for science.
