What comic strips do you find funny?

Asked by Hawaii_Jake (37734points) November 7th, 2022

I read the comics on gocomics dot com every morning. I want to expand what I subscribe to. What strips do you enjoy and laugh at?

I particularly enjoy Non Sequitur, Pearls Before Swine, and Frank and Ernest.

I stopped reading comic strips at some point after being a very avid reader for quite a long time. The problem is that the business is HEAVILY slanted towards existing famous strips where the author has done every joke imaginable with his characters and they get repetitive.

I always liked Dilbert because Scott Adams seemed to keep abreast of new trends in tech and business and incorporate them into his jokes. xkcd does it better of course, but that’s a webcomic on a different site. if you’re open, I’d also recommend Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal.

Some of the best strips are defunct. Calvin & Hobbes, Far Side, Bloom County were always among my favs. Foxtrot was excellent. Monty was quite good.

Even after 50 years, I still read Doonesbury. And I really enjoy Pearls Before Swine.

Angry Little Girls
Bizarro
Bloom County
Boondocks
Broom Hilda
Calvin and Hobbes
Cyanide and Happiness
Family Circus
Mutts
Non Sequitur
Peanuts
Perry Bible Fellowship
Red Meat
Sarah’s Scribbles
Strange Planet
Wizard of Id

My two favorites are probably Mutts and Red Meat. I’m guessing I’ve probably forgotten a bunch as well. :/
