Does wearing sunscreen prevent the absorption of Vitamin D?

Interesting question. It asks about absorption of Vitamin D. Sunscreen will likely reduce some Vitamin D creation by your skin. But you can also take D3 supplements that could help regulate the D in your body and would bypass the sunscreen entirely.
@seawulf575 Yes, I have started taking D3 supplements for a deficiency; I was just curious about the other issue.
No, sunscreen will not block vitamin D. The benefits of using sunscreen far outweigh any misconception that sunscreen prevents vitamin D absorption. Also, as far as I know, if you have vitamin D insufficiency, most of it should come from food and food supplements anyway. Just the sun is not enough.
