Musk bought Twitter a couple weeks ago for $44 billion. What could he sell it for today?
Suppose he thought “the heck with this – it’s more troublee than it’s worth!”
What could he get for it now, after having fired 8000 employees and contractors?
Could Google or Microsoft pick it up for a billion or two, and restore it?
Or is Twitter simply trash now?

I don’t think that he could sell it even IF he offered somebody another $44B to take it off his hands. I’m of the opinion that he bought it to destroy it & he’s doing exactly what he intended to do. He’s getting a GREAT tax write-off when it fails!!!
I’d buy it for a dozen cookies, kick everyone off, and then open it back up to only people I like. The user base would shrink considerably.
It is a damaged commodity, maybe 7 to 10 cents on the dollar. That makes it $3.08 billion or a $41 billion loss.
It was not worth 40 billion to begin with. The platform was posting losses year after year already.
Now that he scared of major advertisers off the platform, with his silly subscription model, that he has already disabled BTW, barely making a dent, its unprofitability has only increased.
I doubt he would find someone, who would take it off his hands.
I’ll bet he could find a buyer for $1B just for the name. The people backing his $44B will probably be pissed.
I’d give him what I have in my pocket. A paper clip and a piece of lint, oh, and this broken stick of gum. Wait! Maybe I’ll keep the gum.
