The lowest price seems to be 300 bucks. Does not include the frame yet. Where do you get your prescription eyeglasses? Thanks!

Ours were not that expensive. I don’t remember exactly, but I think around $150.
I guess it takes some talent to do them right, but also they charge a lot because people and insurance pays it instead of refusing to pay such a high price. Supply and demand and what the market will bear.
Does the $300 include scratch resistant and transition for sunlight?
If you don’t have an astigmatism and both eyes are similar prescription, you can try the cheap progressives in the drug stores. They might be sufficient. I’m not sure if they are for near, mid, and far; or, just near and mid.
I didn’t like progressives, I tried them for two weeks and then went back to bifocals. Luckily, the eye place allowed my husband to use my “credit” to update lenses in his glasses for his progressive prescription.
For single vision lenses they just get the right strength lenses off the shelf and cut them to fit the frames. This is easy. If the lab has the right lenses in stock this is a 10 minute job.
For progessive lens they do that and then grind the lense so the second prescription is in the right place and the strength changes as expexted between distance and near. This is not easy and if they make an error they have to start again with new lenses.
They are cheaper at Costco.
Mine are very expensive, but I’m really picky about my vision and I get top of the line lenses.
$109.00 was the cost 3-years of eye exams for me at AmericasBest dot com.
$114.95 US was the cost of my current thin (-ish) progressive eyeglasses from eyebuydirect dot com.
I am a very happy customer, I recommend both companies.
