How can i download a youtube video from the site to my computer?

i just wanna download a video so i can edit it and put a different song with it

I like to use aTube Catcher It downloads in almost any format (avi, mpeg, mp3), plus it’s good for downloading videos off of other sites.

Keepvid and File2HD are two great onlineYoutube video download sites. You don’t need to install anything – just enter in the URL and away you go. I recommend downloading the higher quality versions of videos

If you need to convert to a different video format, try Media-Convert.

EDIT: I use Mac, and I’m not sure how safe these sites are for a PC. Be careful.
