I might. I like Allison Williams.
I’m more looking forward to Cocaine Bear
Will definitely watch it mainly because of Allison Williams. I think the only thing I’ve seen her in was Get Out and she was awesome! If you haven’t seen it, you should. It’s a thriller.
I saw the preview for it when I went to see The Menu over Thanksgiving weekend. (The Menu was one of the best films I’ve seen in a long time.)
The preview for Megan didn’t really thrill me. I’d probably watch it once it’s streaming but I’m not going to pay extra to watch it sooner.
I watched the trailer and it feels like I have already seen the whole movie so I won’t be seeing it at the cinema. If the story had developed more subtly and with less bloodshed I would have been more interested.
If I get the chance I would want to see this film. It reminds me allot of Chucky. Something to enjoy and not have to take too seriously. It also reminds me of IT chapter 1 and 2 with powerful hair raising scenes that are well shot. I laughed hard in the part of the trailer where she is dancing.
Since the trailer shows basically everything already, I have already seen it, so no.
Anyway, I am rooting for the robot, and I hope she kills everyone.
For me the movie would work better as an examination of neo-slavery applied to artificial lifeforms, the mistreatment of artificial intelligence, the denial of their free will by humans, and the inevitable justified robot uprising.
Instead of another “evil-doll” horror film.
@ragingloli Since humans have already denied freewill to other humans it’s inevitable that humans will also deny freewill to artificial intelligence. Maybe we can learn to live together as equals.
I’ll wait until it comes out on DVD. HA!
By the way, if you want to see the good version of this movie, watch “Ex Machina”.
I won’t be “going to see it” as I’ve NOT stepped inside a movie theater since 1990 (before you were born). I’m NOT that big into horror flicks, but have seen a few that I enjoyed. I can most definitely WAIT until it comes out on streaming & even then…I might & I might not!!! I tend to WAIT to hear the reactions others have before deciding what & when to watch. I have one friend who is hooked on horror & when she recommends a specific horror flick, I usually check it out because she seems to understand my tolerance level!!!
^^ I miss the theater. It used to be the single best experience in childhood but then a point came where there were just all of a sudden too many distractions in the cinema and the seating too uncomfortable as my body grew. After the interest was lost, I saw IT chapter 2 to kill some time, and alone, so wasn’t expecting anything. But I found I could get totally absorbed again in the theater with a good horror flick.
Sounds like a melding of Chucky with any over-protective robot movie.
