We do! I can’t wait for 2023. I keep calling it 23 & me! So many great things in the works I can’t hardly sit still.

Hopefully make some progress on this house.
As I grow older I have started not to associate any occasion with anything. If I want to make a difference, I would do it any time I want to. It doesn’t have to be New Year to get me started. If I can’t do it now, what would guarantee I would do it in New Year? Besides, I have a lot of things I want to do that would take more than a year to complete, so hoping to complete things in the next year would be unrealistic.
So, my plans for the next year will be things that I happen to plan to do all along. Maybe there will be new things coming up that I want to do, but who knows?
^ I am very enthusiastic about this upcoming year with many things in the works. I’m sure many will require longer time to complete than just a year but we are getting a good start and that is what matters most. :)
If the pandemic taught me anything, it was not to make big plans. But I am in a different phase of my life, @RayaHope
^ Covid is a game changer but we’re not letting that change our lives. I do still have a lot of hopes and dreams and a lot to accomplish in my life and maybe I can even affect this Covid thing if I get into the right field.
^^ Not saying you shouldn’t and at this stage of my life, it is more the little things like travel plans that I expect might go awry. I’ve accomplished most of the big things – like raising a good family and having meaningful work – that I had set out to do.
Kudos to you @janbb for that! :) When I’m older, perhaps I can say the same thing one day.
Oh screw resolutions! When I read this question I looked at my desktop and found the notepad that’s titled “Goals for 2022”. Haven’t done any of them, so I’ll just relabel it “Goals for 2023”.
I agree with @Mimishu1995. I’ve got 365 days to begin a goal. And diets and quitting smoking or drinking don’t have to start on Mondays!
One Rib Roast, 5 pounds priced at $17.99 a pound marked down to $7.99 for New Year’s Day dinner.
One day at a time.
@smudges I didn’t realize this was about resolutions. lol I didn’t mean like quitting or cutting back on stuff. Just plans for new things and adventures ahead. Like improving my health issues and finding out about new things about my body. Graduation and applying to college and stuff like that.
@RayaHope You should check out West Virginia University. It’s only the next state over from you.
As for me, a new company is taking us over on Jan 1, so I’m just waiting to see what the changes will be. I think they will be good changes and I’m excited for the new year.
Oh me too @chyna I can’t wait!! I’m so excited it’s hard to sleep, counting down the days. I hope your new company treats you really well. I’m so happy I just broke a nail. lol! I’m out of emery boards too dang!
@RayaHope It’s just that resolutions are the usual thing people think about when a new year is upon us, so that’s what I thought of.
^^ Oh, I see. I may need more experience with those.
