Getting cable or dsl, assuming that's fast enough. I'd recommend cable.
Where do you live?
brooklyn
is cable cheapest?
well, it depends
Usually DSL is a little cheaper, but cable tends to be faster
If you can get RCN, definitely go with them
My sister had RCN in NY and it was fast and cheap.
I think they do other utils too like phone
gotcha.. i'm on it
yes, i recommend cable- a package w/ tv & internet. not cheap necessarily, but totally worth it! when i was in nyc i had time warner - i think that was the only option where i lived, but RCN was starting to expand at the time, and i think it was more cost effective
Are there any people in your building willing to share wireless? If you can see a network, maybe you can split the cost.
I dont know if verizin is available in new York, but fiber is hands down faster than all. At&t offers it to.
