Why do some minor injuries hurt more than the severe ones?
Like banging my head or elbow?
The light taps hurt worse than the big blows.
Why?

That may be something to ask a medical doctor, but I’ll take a stab (lol) and say perhaps it’s because the big ones are somewhat blocked by your brains pain sensors?
I don’t know, but this is so true. I have a sprained knee and bruised hip from a car accident (that almost flipped my car on the highway), and those hurt way less than this tiny crack I have on my thumb from dry skin. Which hurts like a muthafluther!!
Might have to do with how many nerves are in a given area or how much a given area moves. For example, banging your head may not hurt as much as damaging your elbow because your elbow, by design, moves more than the bones of your skull.
