My compute have high CPU Chrome background when I startup the computer, anyway to fix this?

Asked by yaujj48 (1189points) February 18th, 2023

Well I have a problem in my computer, Dell G15. Whenever I startup the computer, my Chrome background will always raise up to higher CPU, also contributing the battery drain if I am not careful.

The problem is that I didn’t open Google Chrome and the problem start to appear. I tried scanning and full uninstall of Chrome but nothing works. I even off the background process for the app itself.

The file location of the problem is in C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe. Chrome is in the latest version so far.

Chrome installs so many background processes like many other apps.
If it is an issues then obviously Dump chrome and use another browser.

I don’t know all that much but have you looked for a startup.exe file to see what that contains?

@janbb You mean like a Task Manager Startup area? So what do I do from there?

I don’t know enough to really help. I think you need a techie to come or go to a tech site and ask there.
