What saint's day is it?

Asked by Hawaii_Jake (37734points) March 17th, 2023

Yeah. OK. It’s that famous Irish Saint Patrick.

But it’s also Saying Gertrude’s Day, the patron saint of cats! Hooray! My kitty is celebrating by zooming up and down the stairs and rattling closet doors.

How are you celebrating?

I’m glad the kitties have their own day. Though I don’t have a cat because I’m highly allergic, I put bowls of water out for them.

It should really be called St David’s Day since it’s my Anglo-Jewish American son’s birthday!

We celebrate Saint Paul around here pretty much every day. We’re not Irish nor Catholic so Saint Patrick’s Day holds no real meaning for us.

@Acrylic you just have to take a dump on other people’s good time, don’t you?

Not at all. Happy Cat Day to you, and God bless!

For me, every day is St. Paul’s Day, because my husband truly is the most saintly man I’ve ever known. He’s honest, decent, caring, considerate… I could list adjectives all day, but you get it.

I can’t believe that it is not only a day of the Irish but also cats!? Well, my cat wherever she is can have a good day.

I’m pretty sure that it’s the day that the cats chased all the snakes out of Ireland.

I celebrated by taking my cat to the veterinarian for a health checkup and vaccinations (rabies & distemper).

Saying Gertrude’s Day, the patron saint of cats, Oh I didn’t even know that! I’ll have to give my kitties extra treat today! Thank you for letting me know. :)
