How are guest artist paid during a tour?

I was wondering when big music groups go on tour do the side groups get paid the same. Guest that are touring with them.

They are contracted for a lower amount.

Oh I see not the same as the main artist.

@honeybun35 The main act is the one that brings the majority of the ticket sales, so it’s only logical that the main act is getting more, plus a bigger share of merchandise sales, etc.

So do the guest get a good amount as well even not the same as the main artist?

Side group and guest artist are different things. A semantics thing on wording.
If you are asking about an opening act, their pay is established at a lower rate that the Main act.
Side acts or Opening acts also tend to have a relationship agreement with the Main act and tour together for the duration of the tour.
Guest performers is different. A Guest performer for the Main act is typically done on gratis or some private agreement with the Main performer.
