I think I would pick sn ancient era, maybe some Phoenician seaport like Tyre or Sidon. See if the speculation about them reaching America is true.

The 1980s and 1990s and 2000–2006. I like modern conveniences and the American people during that time were not nearly so crazy as today.
I would pick the Victorian era, late 1800’s, England. Either that or the location and days of Little House on the Prairie.
I have to agree with @SnipSnip. I couldn’t live without heating and air conditioning or without a hair dryer. My hair would be a limp mess.
To live or visit? I could do without the mod cons for a visit, not so much to live.
@chyna You wouldn’t need a/c back then as it seldom got over 90 except in Nevada. I survived the first 20 years of my life without a/c…couldn’t do it now as I’m spoiled, but NO a/c was the only option I had back then & I didn’t know the difference. The old manual church fans gave me some relief. I don’t think humans ever enjoyed being cold, but they adapted until they could get to the fireplace. If you didn’t have a hair dryer, nobody around you would have one either & you’d ALL have a limp or frizzy mess where it wouldn’t be a big deal!!! Bobby pins were the hair dryers. That’s why they only did their hair once a month back in the 1800s & before.
For me, I enjoyed the 70’s so much that I’d love to go for it one more time!!! I think I would have enjoyed to Roaring 20’s, but I know I enjoyed the70’s!!!
Maybe ancient Rome, then perhaps the 5 years of Latin I took would finally come in handy for something other than figuring out the roots of English words, deciphering pretentious mottos and appreciating Harry Potter just a little bit more than non-Latin students.
If I was immune to harm of any kind and could come back when I wanted to, I’d love to see the big bang!
I’d want to be able to choose what class I was a member of as well as the time period. No fun being a peasant at any time! If I could be part of the gentry, I’d choose Regency England.
the Paleolithic Era. Rock solid times!!!
I’d like to see the Great Pyramid of Giza’s construction being completed.
I would like to see the beginning of life on Earth.
@RayaHope You wouldn’t. There was no oxygen in the atmosphere at the time.
What if I could be in a spacesuit?
Interesting answers everyone, and thoughtful. I’ll stick with my Phoenicians though. They circumnavigated Africa for Pharaoh Necho of Egypt so I think they could have made the Americas somewhere. Not near as long a voyage as the trip around Africa.
@RayaHope That would work for a few hours.
They think the first life originated in shallow water, no more than a few inches deep.
You’d be trudging around in mud, in a hot climate with a toxic atmosphere in a spacesuit wearing adult diapers.
I would have loved to check out the roaring twenties!
I keep thinking “No antibiotics!!!!”
Putting that aside I go for the 20s too.
@LadyMarissa what on earth do you mean it never got above 90⁰ back then?
@Kropotkin Dang! You take all the fun out of it :(
@Kropotkin – it would be interesting to watch the pyramid building at the middle stage. That’s when the anti-gravity technology was needed for the bigger blocks.
For me, I would prefer to go to the 80’s where I can buy high tech stocks when they are really low, then sell before they tank.
@gorillapaws LOL! Oh yes I know a girl just like that! She finds fault with everything no matter how fun we think it is.
When Jesus was around. To see if he really existed.
