Have you ever colored your hair?

If so what color(s) have you used? Do you do it yourself or have you gone to a hair salon? I like a sunflower blonde in the summer and something like a brown sugar in the winter. Epilepsy month I like to put in a purple streak or more if I feel crazy.

On occasion, in a younger day, but I wasn’t much interested in keeping it up. Now that it’s all silver (thanks Pandemic!) I want to do a vivid purple streak to memorialize someone. Hopefully, this spring.
Yep. I’m a youth leader, a few years ago I set out a challenge for them to collect a certain amount of aluminum can tops/pop tops. I set a goal I thought impossible, they proved me wrong. Anyway, as a result, I had to dye my hair green. Costed like $85.00 or so; worth it!
No, but I’ve also never paid more than 20 bucks for a haircut.
I used that stuff that slowly darkens your hair. No one noticed until one day when my parents visited. Mom didn’t notice but Dad saw it right off.
Yes. Way back in college days, I used Clairol to keep my honey blonde from darkening as I got older. Later I had my hairdresser maintain my dark blonde/light brown, while it went gray underneath, and we kept that up for years.
The pandemic was the perfect opportunity to let it grow out, since I wasn’t going to be seeing anybody. That’s how I got through the very awkward stage of having roots dramatically different from the main color. Now my hair is well past shoulder length, and after many trims there’s only maybe an inch left of the faded light brown at the ends. This has made a very interesting gradient as the color phased downward over the past three years.
These days I wear a modest streak of aquamarine over my virgin white hair. Each time my hairdresser refreshes the color streak, I have him offset it a little so there are varying degrees of depth across the width of the streak. Eventually it fades away.
When my blond son was in high school, he wanted to color his hair blue, and I said fine and helped him do it. My rule is: It’s your hair and you can do anything you want with it.
Yes, I used a shampoo-type hair dye to keep my hair light auburn for many years. I let it revert to natural dark auburn and finally light gray. I recently used a light blond to even it out and give some body.
No but the sun does every summer.
Heavens, yes.
I had chestnut-brown hair that drew more compliments than I can recall. As I aged, however, the color turned to ugly, mousey-brown. My delightful hairdresser restores me to my former glory.
