When they get the AI right that can act as if it is you nearly flawlessly, will you be ready to meet yourself?

I suppose. That guy is kind of an asshole though.
Nope, can’t happen. Too human to be computerized.
He can’t be older than me.
It would be pretty boring to talk to myself. Like playing a game of chess by myself. HA!
@gondwanalon I was just thinking the opposite haha! We’d have so many common interests!
The AI would be my online persona, not me.
Such complete duplication, is unachievable. Even if an exact copy of me was successfully created. I would be different, nanoseconds later. The copy would be a reflection. Nothing more.
I’d rather meet an AI with it’s own personality.
@MrGrimm888 You gave me an idea that it’s possible that we might not recognize that an exact copy of ourselves is as such. Because the person who we think we are is in our imagination and we are actually someone completely different.
We decide what is reality and what is an illusion.
We are 3 people. We’re the person who we think we are. We are the person that others think we are. And we are the person that we actually are.
I kind of “meet” myself already ;-p
@gondwanalon . I agree. I can’t articulate why, but after thinking about it I think I would be offended by an exact doppelganger. Not og by some strange act of natural occurrence. But if it was intentional, I would not like that. If we were identical. We would likely team up, and kill the creators of the other me.
Over time. The two of us would change rapidly into something different. In the time it takes to switch the AIbon, my body would have already experienced some small changes. Cell division. Radiation exposure. Aging. Strengthening. Repairs. Hydration status. Homeostasis is achieved by constant adjustments by the subconscious, and all of our “bits and pieces.”
Not to mention the mental blow, of the concept. That would change lots of ways I view things.
You wouldn’t be played a game of chess, with yourself. You’d be playing the version of yourself that changed from what you were at the time of it’s conception. It would be interesting to observe. Much would be learned a out how AIs evolve…
It’s a fascinating concept.
The closest thing I can think of to the concept, is an old saying I’ve always agreed with.
”Adversity introduces you, to yourself.”
I have too much to do in this life to take time out for this kind of activity.
I paid a few bucks for AI headshots over the weekend and so I feel like I’ve met myself already, albeit superficially.
I’m not so sure I’d want to hang out with myself. I’m highly introverted and not very chatty, so the conversation between me and me could be dull.
It would be fascinating to see and engage. But ultimately just identity performance and not actually me.
