Do you throw out the garbage every day or wait until the garbage bin is full?
To save time, and a few pennies on a trash bag?
Humor welcome.

It’s usually full every day, but we’ll still wait for full bag before taking outside save for evening before trash collection. Government picks up our trash so service is passable, at best. Very best, that is.
I wait until the bin is full, which is about every 10 days. I recycle as much as possible, and I have a compost service for all my food waste and compostable paper.
It isn’t saving on the pennies, it is a matter of minimizing landfills. I only take the garbage out when my bag is full, I only take the recycling our when the recycling bag is full, or the night before it gets picked up.
I take it out when the bag is full, or the night before garbage day, whichever comes first.
Mine usually fills up in about three days anyway, and garbage pickup is twice a week, so it works out. I will only take it out more often if there’s something really smelly to take out, like dirty cat litter.
I have a big garbage pail, the stainless steel with the pedal and closed top, so the bag is the big black bag. Twice a week or maybe three times a week works.
The state of my garbage can, could be a reflection of my mental status at any given time.
If it’s not overflowing, I’m probably doing pretty well.
It’s been vastly different since I stopped drinking. Beer bottles and cans take up lots of space.
Maybe they should make plastic bags of beer?...
I have one container for dry waste (trash) and one under the sink for wet waste (garbage). The trash goes out when it gets full and the garbage goes out when it gets full or starts to stink too much.
I live by myself, so depending on if I’m doing a lot of cleaning or it’s time to change the cat litter, a trash bag can last me a good part of a week. I never empty it until it’s full, although once you take it out of the trash can, it seems like there’s more room. That’s when I put any bulky but light trash on the top that I might have sitting around. For instance, I bought a TV recently and I had a couple pieces of Styrofoam that the TV had been packaged in, so I broke them down and put part of them in the top of the bag. We have dumpsters in our community, so once I get a bag full, I take it down with me when I leave for work in the morning or if I’m going somewhere else, and I just drop it off on the way.
Usually weekly, which is when it’s full.
