What are some of the things you want in life that only the uber-wealthy can afford?

Asked by mazingerz88 (29260points) May 3rd, 2023 from iPhone

I would like very much to have a dishwashing machine with a door that opens and closes, loading trays that slide in and out either by voice command or push button.

I can’t think of anything.

A plane and pilot and money to afford the gas and insurance and maintenance and whatever else it needs. More money to go on the trips I’d like to go on in my new plane. Oh…and a smallish private cruise ship. Bein’ honest here…just…more money – to give away, to live off of.

@mazingerz88 That is very specific so it seems you have thought about this for a while.
My own plane would be fun, as @smudges wants. A house by the ocean would be great.

Privacy, as in my own land with no one around for an hour. Access to excellent specialists for my family.

A laundry machine that phones you when load is finished. Instead of having to walk down two flights to stairs, and needing to wait until washer/dryer is finished.

Online laundry status updates would be greatly appreciated.

I would also like to have expensive cuts of meat every day.

Thanks @Tropical_Willie I will certainly buy it when I have a place of my own.

My God will supply every need of mine according to my riches in glory in Christ Jesus. What I already have is all I need. If I need more, it’ll be supplied when it’s due.

To exert my political will on the country.

I mainly want freedom to not worry about money, taxes, insurance, maintenance, and jobs I don’t want to do. This could be solved by simply providing for my needs and having someone else manage crap, and letting me do the work I want to do. It doesn’t really require “uber wealth”. But neither does what the OP wrote in details.

Nothing. I am not one for material possesions.

^^ But you have two houses!

smudges's avatar

Easy to say you don’t care about money if you have it.

Forever_Free's avatar

@janbb thanks for that. You don’t know my story and hence should not make such remarks.

A huge house and fancy car with staff to take care of them!
