Really sad for the people and the families.
Also, a little more afraid than I have always been my entire life about bombs, mass shootings, and hijackings.
Just saw Rachel Maddow tonight, I haven’t watched her in a really long time. Freaked me put a little more. I already think I’m a prime target, let alone random people can get hurt.
I compartmentalize and shove the feelings away pretty quickly, but it’s so often now.
It makes me feel sick, so I try to avoid the details.
Like plane crashes, shit happens. And there are so many people on the planet! There is no chance that we’ll kill ourselves all off.
Disgusted, like -“Here we go again! Same shit, different day.” It no longer surprises me.
I always feel bad for the victims and the families and everyone involved. There are so many mass shootings, it’s hard to keep track of all of them. On the news, when they talk about finding out details about the shooter, it’s hard to keep track of which shooter we’re talking about, which incident we’re talking about, which city was this one?
@jca2 Gosh yes. Great point! Years ago when a mass shooting happened it was the only recent one. Now, there are so many it’s hard to keep them straight. I still say it’s like ISIS. It’s like these people are all part of a group, or many of them are anyway. Listening to the same garbage.
Scared and angry. My best friend lost people in two of the biggest massacres, Sandy Hook and Las Vegas. I think it becomes more real when you actually know someone who was personally affected. Every time I hear of another shooting, I get a visceral reaction of fear and anger.
I felt numb when I heard about the latest shooting. “Here we go again”, but the traumatic details got to me. Everything possible should be done to stop these shootings why everything possible isn’t being done is incomprehensible to me.
I feel like M. Bison in that Streetfighter movie.
I wonder that in a modern society we cant protect our most vulnerable from crazy people.
Back in the 80’s and 90’s there were rifles in every truck on campus and no shootings. So it’s difficult to fathom what has changed in society to make killing kids acceptable.
@ragingloli There was a bittersweet reason why Julia took on the role of Bison. It made me wonder a bit at the time. Supposedly he was terminally ill but his kids ( or grandkids ) were a fan of the game.
