What memories do you have from childhood that you are now uncertain if they actually happened or not?
I made a vow to not forget as a 10 year old that I saw a UFO in the sky one sunny afternoon on my way to the river. Now I can’t tell whether that event really happened or…I just dreamt it maybe?

I see tv shows and movies now I watched in the 70s, but are different then remembered.
I had two memories of vacations I thought we had taken til I realized they couldn’t have happened. One was to a snowbound resort where we stayed in igloos and another was kind of a frontier town with cabins. I must have dreamt them up but for years I thought they were real.
This is an issue for me. I often remember my dreams with such clarity they seem like real memories. I often ask people who were there if they recall the same thing.
For the longest time, I was convinced that I could remember being about eight, watching my parents strap a coffin to the roof of the car and taking it to the cemetery. I thought they were burying a relative. I am now fairly sure that didn’t actually happen. ~
@filmfann Me too!! I swear my car has been stolen 3 times, but in actuality it never has. I don’t think, anyway. Pretty sure not.
