Alberta jellies will you please check in?
I see that I’m a little late asking this question, but I just heard the news tonight. I was in contact with a Canadian friend of mine tonight & he commented about the bad forest fires in Alberta. He lives in Halifax & didn’t know much info to update me. I know we have several Alberta jellies, but don’t know how many. So, Alberta jellies are you doing OK?

I’m good in Red Deer. No smoke yet. My mom’s internet went down in Jasper National park, and is working again.
We are getting some of your smoke here in Western NY. Rochester! It traveled way up north and is coming down over the Great Lakes. It made a beautiful sunset last night.
@RedDeerGuy1 I had seen you active on here so I felt like you were still OK. I remembered that your Mom had a lot of trouble before. When I looked at a map of the locations of the fire, it was so dense in some areas that I couldn’t determine exactly what places were being affected the worst.
@LuckyGuy Never though about it affecting NY, but good to hear that you guys are receiving a little benefit from it as well!!!
Power was out for two hours. I don’t know if It was fire related. Or bown out due to heat.
Gorgeous sunset again last night! Thank you. We could see the sun shining through the air particles.
@RedDeerGuy1 You know what this means? If you eat beans one day, About a week or so later some of your methane molecules will be floating over my house. Thanks a lot, Pal!
@LuckyGuy Good one!!! HaHaHaHaHa
As I said, I NEVER thought of it making it that far east. I have been paying closer attention now that I’m aware of what’s going on up that way. Last week I read said it was affecting parts of Virginia. That’s a long freakin way!!!
Update The town of Edson a hour east of Jasper where my mom lives is being evacuated to Edmonton. The last time they went west to Jasper there was a run on food and supplies. Hopefully they are going to the larger cities where they can absorb the influx of displaced persons.
Thanks for the update. Hopefully everyone has been stocking up with supplies just in case.
I sure would!
@jca2 Sure am talking to her now.
Update She said that It was nice.
My power just went back on. Was only off for 1 hour. Am charging my phone while I can.
Was heavy snow in Jasper National park. Too bad the ski season Is over. Should be good for the wildfires.
Now parts of Alberta are flooding. From too much rain.
Tornado warning for Red Deer, and surrounding areas.
I’m fine. Bought some groceries.
Just recived an emergency alert to curtail power use. Also extreme cold weather warning. -34c or – 30f.
Do you have any other sources of heat and light if the power goes out? Do you know where your flashlights are? Do they work? .
