Did you know that Elsie the Cow and Elmer the Bull were actually spouses?

Elmer the Bull see link was created by the Borden Company’s Chemical division (back before they want bankrupt) to be a companion to Elsie the Cow see link (who represented the Borden’s Diary division).

The ironic thing is that both Elsie and Elmer still are around (I was going to originally write ‘are still alive’) even though the original Borden’s is long gone. (There’s a new company called Borden’s that started about 15 years ago)
