I mean a real street you have walked down. What is it that you liked about it?

The one I live on. One way maple tree lined avenue, 50’ x 100’ lots on slab homes built in the 1950s, most with fenced yards. It may not be much, but it’s mine; moved in here early 2022, plan to stay for life.

This is in New Orleans, west of downtown, not all that far from Tulane University.

A very short street, not more than ½ mile. but filled with old mansions and lovely gardens. Very classy street. I wish I could remember its name. I was there about 2 years ago.

Too many to list and I don’t know the names of them, but they all had beautiful full-grown trees, manicured lawns, tidy houses but not estates, were paved with no potholes, had sidewalks, some had pretty fences, flower gardens, and birds singing.

It was a city street with houses lining the avenue. It is full of happy (for the most part) folks that are fun to hand out with. One of them loves cookies, another one lives in a garbage can and is grumpy, another younger one laughs when you tickle him. One of the leaders on the street dresses like he is on the sidewalk selling fried chicken.

It was a street in my suburban neighborhood. The homes were beautiful with gorgeous grounds. The lots were four-acre lots. It was an old neighborhood and among the most affluent in the state. The street was anything but straight and was rolling landscape. The huge trees met over the road. It was gorgeous all four seasons and when we had snow and ice, it was a wonderland.

Where is this place they call “Easy Street”?

WAIT….that response was wrong. New Orleans is the Big Easy but I don’t know of a real Easy Street.

rue de L’Abreuvior in Montmartre. It’s so beautiful and right around the corner from where my grandsons live.

There is a street in Moscow, Idaho that is very steep and ends in a cul-de-sac. There is a house there that you would hit if you went straight at the end. To the side of this house (right side as you face it) is an alleyway that goes around the house and proceeds in a straight line some ways further. In the winter the street can be covered with ice, and can be plowed along with the alleyway. When I was a kid, I could not get enough of taking my sled down this hill, viciously skirting the snow berm on the right, entering the alleyway, quickly steering violently to the left, and making the turn around the house, snow and ice flying from the sled’s runners. If you missed the turn and went straight into unplowed snow, there was a apple tree to avoid.
What a rush! What a hill! What a street! What a thrill!
