A rich person is making an offer? You are both in the pouring rain.

Any offer he, or anybody else makes, I’d consider to sell. I surely wouldn’t ask for an outrageous amount just because the one asking is rich, that would be wrong. Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways, Proverbs 28:6.

@all The details say that you are both in a pouring rain. To sell your umbrella is to be soaking rain without any protection from the rain. Your tech could get wet.

You also can decide not to give ones umbrella ☔at any price.

Warm rain or cold rain? Windy or calm? Torrential storm or ‘normal’ rain?

All of those factors would weigh on my answer.

@Acrylic but what about free market capitalism? You charge what the market will bear. If the rich guy decides it is worth $500 for him to stay dry, you charge $500.

@elbanditoroso Take your pic. Nothing set in stone.

@elbanditoroso If he offers $500.00 I’d consider that, I just wouldn’t say “You’re rich, $500.00. You can afford that.” My original answer clearly says I’d consider any offer made by anyone, I wouldn’t ask for more based on wealth. Thanks for asking.
