Why don't wheelchairs have cup holders or any way to hold personal belongings?
Do they figure people in wheelchairs have no life?

There are all sorts of accessories available to customize wheelchairs to one’s best comfort.
Not everyone who is in a wheelchair can use a cup or a bottle. If someone is a quadripalegic, they can’t use a cup holder. If somene is using a sip and puff, they can’t use a cup holder. Having a cup holder built in that someone can’t use adds weight and cost.

I would think a Big Gulp cup would get in the way of a person trying to wheel their chair.
My issue with wheelchairs.
Earlier this year I had some issues and had to wear a catheter for several weeks. And initially they had me in a wheelchair (and then later on a walker). I’m fine now, back to normal, in case you wondered.
The problem with both those mobility appliances is that there is no place to hang the catheter bag (much less hide it so others don’t need to see your pee).
That seems like a real omission. Someone in the health care business should have thought about that. (In the end I figured out a way to hand the bag from the cross-member of the wheelchair, and put a blanket over my legs. But it was less than ideal)
