We met when I was 16 and we dated for 9 years before getting married.
We were then married for 7 years before we adopted our daughter.
We’re married almost 30 years.
We dated for three months ,and going on 35 years married, no kids and that is what we both wanted.
@SQUEEKY2: We’ll, I would hope it wasn’t a shotgun wedding. :^)
Ten months. We’ve been married for 31 years.
We knew each other for three years and dated for about 18 months before getting married. We were married for 37 years before splitting up.
About 10 months. Benn married 32 years. Still newlyweds. HA!
Two years. Married 30 years.
First date to ceremony: 14 months
Dating! There is an old fashioned term. I never liked that term.
If you were interested in someone you just enjoy time with them and evolve.
The important term is when did you commit to only seeing that person for more significant long term reasons.
In my mind there are 5 important dates in a relationship.
1. When and how did you first meet
2. When did you each commit to the relationship
3. When did you decide to become married
4. When did you marry
5. When did you part
Number 2 for me is the most important one. 1 and 2 are the only necessary ingredients although we all know that the other ones can happen.
For the question: 3 years. Not married now.
We went on our first not-a-date on 12/23/00, I proposed on 4/21/01 and we were married on 7/4/01. We’ve been married for 22 years so far.
3 months from meeting to marriage, have been married for 14 years.
6 years off and on (second marriage for both of us). Married 35 years !
Almost 3 years, been married for almost 29 years.
We dated for almost 8 years, and we’ve been married for almost 22.
We “dated” for about three months, then we were engaged for about months. Then we got marrie 35 years ago today!
