I need advice can someone help?

Asked by KmiberDWZ (167points) July 31st, 2023

How can I make my blank meme (s) less crappy than the ones I see other people made in DeviantArt? Because whenever I try to make my own memes it doesn’t turn out the way I invision it, and when I see somebody else’s blank meme(s) all I see is perfection. I mean, I have a second DA account and I already made a blank meme that I’m satisfied with, but when it comes to making more blank memes again I somehow don’t know how to make it without the boxes being too small or too big and/or running out of space, etc. So, how can I fix my problem?; Is it practice makes perfect? Keep practicing until I get it right? Use a different software? Like, what the heck! If anyone knows I would appreciate it! Thx

Indeed, practicing helps a lot, but it can be slow. I would look for a tutorial on YouTube that walks you through the software you’re using: a demo on how to do basic things like create a box of various sizes, create a image of a certain size, import an image, and change font size. You might have to sketch out your plan first, so you know what sizes to make everything ahead of time, which is helpful advice for any project. Anyway, these aren’t high level graphic design skills. You should be able to figure out what you want to make without huge time commitment. If the tool you’re using is too crude to do what you want, however, then it might be a good time to use something better.

A note: while you may see perfection in the work of others, there’s a very good chance all they can see are the mistakes.
