How do I fix the air conditioner remote clock?

Asked by yaujj48 (1189points) August 7th, 2023

I am not sure this is a right place to ask technical help, but if it is wrong, do guide me where I should ask my question.

On the question at hand, my air conditioner remote clock speed up by I think, 10 minutes from the original time I set. I don’t know how this is happened and I wish how to stop this occurring nearly every week or day (I didn’t exactly keep time).

I don’t know whether naming the air conditioner brand would help but here it is, Benhong K-PN1122.

First make sure you have good batteries.
If you can set the clock but it gains or loses 10 minutes per day you have a defective remote. There is no adjustment you can make.
Some variation is acceptable and expected – under 5 to 15 seconds per day is normal. 10 minutes per day is way out of specification.
See if you can return the defective remote for a properly working unit.
Or, if they won’t honor their product, buy a new remote and tell everyone you know about the issue and how they did not take care of it.

Let us know how you make out.

Here is a video explaining How to set the clock.

@LuckyGuy I guess this is what you get for buying a cheap remote online. Thanks anyway.
