How long does an opened package of bacon keep?

I couldn’t find a use by date on the package. Probably have had it in the fridge for a few months and some of it looked brown. I chucked it but it made me wonder how long they last.

Opened? No more than a day or two. Sealed, a while.
^^ That’s crazy!
“Once you open that package, bacon’s shelf life shortens whether you cook it or not. Raw bacon in a package that has been opened and re-sealed will last up to a week in the fridge, and cooked bacon will last four to five days if it’s properly stored.
You can also store bacon in the freezer. Uncooked, unopened bacon will last up to eight months in the freezer, while leftover raw bacon that’s properly stored will last up to six months in the freezer. Cooked bacon, stored properly, will last up to one month in the freezer.”

Just a tip that I do. I usually eat 2 pieces of bacon on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. Right after buying, I wrap 2 pieces of raw bacon in aluminum foil and freeze the entire package that way. On Friday night I get two packages out of the frozen bacon out for the weekend and let them thaw in the fridge.
A few months?! Opened?
I would keep it 3 days if stored in the fridge. Probably it’s good for a week it’s so high in fat and salt, but I wouldn’t risk it.
If I wasn’t ready to eat it in three days I would put it in the freezer. I have an open package of raw bacon in my freezer for two months now, i’m planning on cooking it this weekend.
My criteria is: 1 week in the fridge, 1 year in the freezer. Then it gets a sniff test before I cook it.
