I stumbled on something about Alan Rickman online and felt sad that he’s gone. Which movie of his will you recommend for me to see? Thanks.

Pretty much any but I would start with “Truly, Madly, Deeply” and then watch “Sense and Sensibility.” One of his first roles was in the BBC mini-series “Barchester Chronicles” in which he is the delightfully slimy Obadiah Slope. He’s also in several of the Harry Potter movies as Professor Snape.
He was good in “Die Hard” as the bad guy. But I really liked him in “January Man” with Kevin Kline. He played Ed, the quirky artist neighbor.
^^Thank you both. Will check those out for sure. Also just remembered I own a copy of Robin Hood. Got it only because he was this over the top villain.
Two in particular:
Love Actually
Die Hard
I agree with @seawulf575 about January Man (which was a clever movie!) but sadly, Rickman’s role was too small.
Sense and Sensibility
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves
Love Actually
The Barchester Chronicles (TV)
Dark Harbor
An Awfully Big Adventure
All of the Harry Potter movies
Snow Cake is one that totally surprised me (still thought of him as Gruber).
