Because I blend in so well with the human herd. If I’m not human then I’m close enough to fool everyone. So far at least. Hope that I’m not discovered for who I really am. Whatever that is. HA!

Well, to err is human, and forgive is divine. I’m definitely not divine. To be human is neither good or bad. If you are wondering if I see myself as an advanced species of primates, or homo sapiens, then yes to that as well.
If you are referring to characteristics of human behavior, then yes as well.
There is no other name for our species, so human it is. I’m certainly not a dog or cat. If I were any other kind of species dreaming of my existence to be human, then I would dream up of something better. Like dream I’m a goddess of pure light and goodness, living far from humans with my animal friends in a paradise. Why on earth would I choose to be human as a dream, unless I’m stuck in a semi nightmare? Because certain humans wouldn’t exist.

I think being human is to essentially have intellect and distinguish between good and bad. Animals act based on their instinct while humans have the capacity to think and understand the consequences before acting. Although many of us humans do make rash decisions and act hastily :)
Moreover, I think having emotions, theorising, being rational, having the ability to sin, being accountable for actions, self-consciousness, moral agency, having desires all are things that make us human.
Another very important thing that identifies us as humans is the ability to talk and communicate.
