Please suggest a sturdy recliner for the big and tall?
The cheap metal part at the feet crumples under after a year or less.
Please suggest a sturdy one? I am 6“5 and 300 pounds.. Also needs to deliver to Canada.

La-Z-Boy makes some recliners especially for big, tall men. I hate to say it, but they are expensive. Call a furniture store in your town and ask if they sell them.
Maybe you should get a pimp ass big chair, and a nice sturdy Ottoman, or footrest thingie big guy…
A comfy chair with an ottoman is actually a good idea.
@Hawaii_Jake My grandpa had a rocking chair with matching rocking ottoman. I enjoyed it until my dad broke it. Do they make big and tall rocking chairs?
I don’t know the exact answer. I think it’s worth a Google search and a call or two to some furniture stores.
@Hawaii_Jake stole my answer on the La-Z-Boy. Just did a quick search on “La-Z-Boy furniture in Canada” & the only thing I saw was Wayfair dot ca. According to their info, they have free shipping to Canada if the order is over $50 & I can guarantee you that your order will be more than $50. Here in the States, La-Z-Boy has a sale going on for their most sturdy chair. The chair is about $1,200 & they’ll finance for $94/mo. I’ve NEVER bought anything from Wayfair but I’ve heard nothing but good things about them from friends. That should be enough to get you started on your search.
Agree you need to call furniture stores. Also any decent chair should have a warranty on the parts (like the metal part you mentioned).
La-Z-Boy has a store in Red Deer. Link
There are more furniture stores. I highly suggest you also look at chairs with ottomans. Those may be sturdier.
You might even find something for sale on a site like Craigslist or neighborhood app, or even at a garage sale, cheap.
Lazyboy. My “retirement until I die chair.” It’s a grail to me.
Just for kicks I designed one for myself picking the style and color etc. etc on their website and the resulting price was…hefty.
