Since I retired two years ago, I no longer have a definite daily routine. Every day is different. Some days I stay home, some days I go out. On the days I go out, sometimes I have an appointment and I have to hurry in the morning (it’s a struggle to be out by noon) and some days I have no set appointments and so I can go out when I’m ready, which may not be until 1.
What almost always happens every day is I’m up in the early morning hours, like 3 or 4, and then on the computer for a few hours, and then back to bed for hopefully one or two more hours. In the morning, when I wake up (for good), I drink a lot of coffee. Those are the things that are every day – up early, back to bed, hopefully, and then drinking coffee. While I’m having the coffee, I’m on the computer – social media, looking at email and newpspapers online. I may not eat breakfast until 11 or 12. and breakfast is usually something simple like an English muffin or some frozen Eggo waffles or yogurt with added walnuts and berries.
To live through another day.
Get up. 6::30am
Let the dogs out.
Feed the pond fish.
Feed the cats.
Make coffee.
Go for a morning walk.
Drink coffee and relax.
Log on to work.
Lunch is usually a small protein like chicken breast. Yesterday I had two boiled eggs.
Another walk.
Log off.
Feed fish, dogs, cats.
Make dinner, a protein and veggies. Fruit as snack.
Clean or watch a program or both.
Exercise.
Go to bed. 10–10:30pm.
I am a sucker for routine. My dog makes me put him to bed at 9pm sharp, true story. I blame the animals. My cat will knock on my window if I try to sleep in, too. Sigh.
Ha Ha. Nothing about my day is routine.
My routine is pretty much like @KNOWITALL , minus the fish, the cats, and the exercise (although I do walk the dog).
